Why I love breakfast.

You really aren't supposed to skip breakfast. It's the first meal of the day, and assuming you are a normal person and you eat dinner between the hours of 5p-9p, you probably won't be eating again for a whole 12 hours. Of course you're cranky... I don't know about you, but I'm cranky when I don't eat.

Why do I say this? Well, I'm always hungry in my artist's studio... oil paint really looks quite delectable when its just globbed onto a glass palette. Plaster, mixed to the right consistency has the look of melted ice cream. So I think about food when I think about art. I am trying to think about art so I resolved to thinking about food. What do I like to eat? Breakfast. I LOVE breakfast.
Plus, I'm told that art should be like eating breakfast. You're not supposed to ever skip out on a day without creating art. It's unhealthy. Other than that I don't really understand the connection between art practice and breakfast.

However, I am happy to know that eating a lame breakfast like stale toast w/ butter (which I really love by the way) is still better than no breakfast. Just like creating really lame art every day is better than not doing anything at all. People always say they don't have time for breakfast. That's silly because if they had woken up about five minutes earlier they could have put some butter or jelly on a toast and taken it with them instead of being hungry. It's like, I always will have time to make art (or sketch daily), its just that sometimes I feel as though going on Facebook to learn absolutely nothing new about my friends is much more important.

Therefore, I am trying to remind myself. Don't skip breakfast.
